Stop Snoring Pillows
Anyone know a way to stop snoring???
I mean, besides a swift smack to the head with a pillow? My fiance snores like an old bear, and its driving me nuts!! Its so bad that I have to get up and end up sleeping most of the night in the spare room. He has no idea he is doing it, but gets that loud he wakes himself up!! I try making him roll onto his side, but that doesnt make a difference. Its a snore noise as he breathes in, and out...its constant noise!
Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Dealing with snoring has a lot to do with mental attitude - but I'll get to that later - firstly let me say ....... You big SOFTIE you ..... oh it's love right enough .... "he snores like an OLD BEAR" - not 'like a PIG' or like a lawnmower or a pneumatic drill - no, "like an old bear" - hmmmmmm what a lovely romantic image you portray - your name henceforth shall be 'little bear'.
Now - about sleeping with a snorer -
I complained to my (widowed) mum that my (then new) hubby was a real window rattler with his snoring and she said "I used to complain about your Dad's snoring - but I'd give anything to hear it now." That put new hubby's snoring into perspective; ever since then I've found his snoring (strangely) comforting.

how to get my husband to stop snoring?
Okay so this is new, maybe a year now. we have tried sprays, breathe right strips and recently the ninny pot. He now has to sleep on the sofa and I don't want this to be a pattern....
what other methods can we use to reduce or eliminate his snoring, short of smothering him with a pillow????
Has he put on weight in the past year? Being overweight can contribute to snoring. Have you tried different pillows? It might just be positional. Try having him use an additional pillow to prop himself up. If all that fails, then I would recommend a trip to the Dr to see what could be causing it.
